Top entertainers for Naledi Awards

Great entertainment has been lined up for the 7th Annual Naledi Theatre Awards on Sunday 7 March at the Opera at the State Theatre in Pretoria.
Executive Director of the Naledi Theatre Awards, Dawn Lindberg, has announced the hot entertainment and top celebrity presenters confirmed for the Naledi Theatre Awards.
“We are very excited by the top drawer artists and entertainers who will enhance the Awards Event with their talent and glamour,” said Lindberg.
The line up includes:
- The African Skye Pipe Band: Show-Biz medley and Amazing Grace: leader: Rory Bellingham
- JPO Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by: Peter Mclea: Hi-Lite Jive/Shebeen : by Jonas Gwangwa and Hugh Masekela
- SA Ballet Theatre: Dance of Cygnets and Pas de Deux from Swan Lake Act 2 accomp by JPO; featuring: soloists: Burnise Sylvius & Patrick Mngeni
- El Rincon Fusion Flamenco : Jaleo Sevillanas: choreog: Joanne Bobrow and Mireille Lenferna accomp by Mischief Guitar duo
- Nine year old finalist from SA’s Got Talent, Cleo Filander: Somewhere Over the Rainbow from Wizard of Oz
- Kate Normington: the Irish Ballad from Tomfoolery accomp by Michael Watt
- Matthew Stewardson: I wanna go back to Dixie from Tomfoolery accomp by Michael Watt
- Tracy-Lee Olivato: Close Every Door to Me from Joseph accomp by Bryan Schimmel
- Mark Banks: Bafunny-Bafunny
- Sello Maake Ka Ncube: The Truly Great by Edward Spencer
- Hugh Masekela: trumpet solo
Celebrity presenters include: Joan Brickhill, David James, Mara Louw, Colin Moss, Rob Van Vuuren, Zwai and Mel Bala, Karin Van der Laag, Robert Whitehead, Fiona Ramsay, Dali Tambo, Sello Maake Ka Ncobo, James Ngcobo, Zoleka Helesi, Harry Sideropoulos, Craig Urbani, Sibusiso Radebe, Denise Goldin and Lesego Motsepe and many more.
The event is open to the public and booking is at Computicket and the box office. Tickets cost R100 which includes the cocktail party and wine, (there is a cash bar as well) the ceremony with all the drama and excitement, the show and after party. Every guest will receive a bronze Mandela medallion from the SA Gold Coin Exchange.
Guests of honour are Mac Maharaj and his wife, Serina, the CEO of the State Theatre, Xoliswa Ngema and several ambassadors.
