For one night only, you are invited to engage with a live Wikipedia of fascinating thought leaders, experts and mavericks.
Thirty people from a wide range of fields will gather to share their reflections and revelations in response to “What are these times that we live in and what is the future we are making?â€. A bell marks the time and you move from table to table engaging in four intimate 20 minute conversations; it could be with a social activist, geneticist, sangoma, astrophysicist, or futurist ... who knows who you’ll meet.
Talking Heads uses the art of conversation as a potent way to exchange and build knowledge about the world and ourselves. Some of the participants include: Dr. Anthony Turton, South African Environmentalist of the Year 2010; JHB inner city developer, Jonathan Liebmann; Andile Mngxitama, firebrand social commentator; Dion Chang, trend guru; and SA Human Genome Project expert, Dr. Michele Ramsay.
Book immediately as there are only 90 tickets available. Dress with flair. Wine and tasty snacks will be served.
When: Wednesday, 22 June 2011 from 19h00 – 22h00
Where: Villa Arcadia, 22 Oxford Road, Parktown
Tickets: R150
To book: Computicket on http://www.computicket.com
