Several diverse local and international dance productions will be performed by outstanding local and international artists at this year’s Out the Box Festival of Puppetry and Visual Performance, taking place at the Baxter Theatre Centre, The UCT Hiddingh campus in Gardens and the Labia Cinema on Orange Street.
They include internationally renowned Angel by the DuduPaiva Company from The Netherlands; (Eu) peca de terra-II, a provocative and moving work choreographed and performed by Edna Jaimes from Mozambique; Hatched by Mamela Nyamza and Skindsideout by Belgian performance artist Benjamin Vandewalle and Stadium choreographed by Andile Sotiya and performed by Theo Ndindwa’s iKAPA Dance Theatre, will be performed under the stars.
