One of South Africa’s most famous historical and literary characters is now the subject of one of the country’s first ever 3-D animated feature films.

In an entertaining and informative multimedia presentation, writer and director Duncan MacNeillie, together with the film’s marketing director, Andy Rice, reveals the fascinating process that developed the story of South Africa’s beloved canine hero from a personal memoir to a national icon, to a live action feature film and now to an animated family movie, proving that even though he is over a century old, Jock continues to make history in more ways than one. The presentation will include the following:

- On the Trail with Jock for 25 years: MacNeillie gives his first-hand account of taking Jock from the page to the live action screen in 1986 and now into the new millennium through the medium of 3-D animation.

- Behind- the-scenes snippets, the technology, the score and songs

- Marketing: the synergy of arts and business

- The future of animation in South Africa

- Q&A

The Making of Jock in 3-D is presented by CLASSICFEEL Magazine in collaboration with University of the Witwatersrand Alumni, supported by Business and Arts South Africa, and with the special participation of Jock Animation and Jock Marketing.
