What is a producer and how do you develop the skills you need to become one?
Over the last few years, the definition of the term "producer” has broadened - but how does a producer differ from an arts administrator? How does being a producer in the commercial world differ from being a not-for-profit producer?
British Council will host a one day workshop led by Jan Ryan, Director of UK Arts International, and Barbara Mathers, Manager of Third World Bunfight.
Participants will be taken through the ins and outs of producing in the performing arts, through a series of practical hands-on exercises and small group discussions.
Date: Wednesday, 17 February 2010
Time: 9h00 - 16h00
Venue: Theatre Arts Admin, Methodist Church Hall, Corner Milton Road and Wesley Street, Observatory
