About the Awards
The Awards, jointly sponsored by Business Day, Business and Arts South Africa and supported by Anglo American, recognise and encourage excellence and innovation in the field of business support for the arts.
These are the fourteenth annual BASA awards with twelve
categories, each of equal value. In each case, a specially commissioned work of art will be given to the winning sponsor. The categories may be subject to change.
The Awards, audited by Grant Thornton, will be adjudicated by an independent panel of judges.
The judges will evaluate the success of each sponsorship in achieving the objectives of the sponsor, and in bringing genuine benefits to the arts organisation. Factors such as the innovative nature of the sponsorship will be taken into account. Please note that the judges may shift entries to different categories should they deem it more appropriate than the category in which the entry was submitted. This will only be done with the consent of the entrant.
Any financial information will remain confidential.
The form must be completed in full.
A shortlist of nominations in each category will be published in July 2011. The Awards will be presented at a ceremony in Johannesburg on Monday, 29 August 2011.
Please read the
rules carefully, and we look forward to receiving your nominations.
Importantly, please submit at least two high resolution images with your entry. The entry will not be considered complete without the images.
