The South African Ballet Theatre in partnership with Mzansi Production’s Giselle

With the move towards the merger between SABT and Mzansi Productions announced earlier this year, audiences can look forward to a strengthening of ballet standards on the SA stage. In striving to enhance the level of SA ballet, this production of Giselle will be performed to recorded music and not to the live orchestral accompaniment originally announced. This shift in budgetary focus from the orchestra pit to the stage reflects the merging companies’ emphasis in working towards further raising the standards of ballet in SA.
