Through the Knowledge Hub, BASA will continue to highlight innovative partnerships, sustainable models of engagement, and good practice and accountability in business-arts partnerships, and strengthen links and participation between government, the private sector, and the arts sector in SA. We envision the BASA Knowledge Hub as comprising qualitative and quantitative data around private sector arts investment habits and motivation, including a broader understanding of the economic climate in SA and how this impacts the arts and investment in the arts, as well as BBBEE codes and how investment in the arts can assist business in meeting those requirements, the value and benefits of private sector support for the arts, and the variety of opportunities for doing so. It will also include best practice case studies of successful business-arts partnerships with shared value, trend forecasting, tools for establishing and measuring successful and mutually beneficial partnerships, and more. Furthermore, BASA’s Knowledge Hub will house the Creative Markets Growth Hub. This Knowledge Hub is not only an electronic resource, but will also feed topics and content into forums, roundtable discussions, workshops, and symposia.
